Description
The main mechanism of action of the silicone patch is that it retains water molecules in the scar tissue and mechanical impact on the collagen matrix of the skin, which leads to its reduction.
These changes prevent the growth of pathological scar tissue with early use of the patch and contribute to both reducing the size of the scar and increasing its elasticity in the stages of formation.
The patch stays on the skin not due to gluing (as in conventional patches), but due to the sucking effect of silicone. That is why the same patch can be repeatedly removed and reapplied without losing its adhesive properties.
Used in situations:
the need to prevent the formation of skin scars after: injuries, burns, surgical and cosmetic operations, tattooing;
the need to reduce the size of keloid and hypertrophied scars after: injuries, burns, surgical and cosmetic operations, tattooing;
if necessary, relieve itching, paresthesia, to accelerate healing excoriation, reduction of scar thickness, removal of inflammation and prevention of excessive scar pigmentation.
